Tattoos and the Sun
It's summer in the northeast. We're seeing a lot of tattoos. We're also seeing a lot of tanned tattoos.
Tanned tattoos that will become blurry and fuzzy before their time.

After you get a tattoo, you must protect it from the sun. If you don't, one of those lousy blurred and faded tattoos will soon be yours.
You can try for a cover-up tattoo. But, it would be much better to keep your tattoo out of the sun or at a minimum use sunscreen with a rating of SPF 30.
I can't emphasize this enough, keep your tattoo out of the sun or use sunscreen.
The sun is deadly to your tattoo. It will leech out the color, causing premature fading and the sun will cause blurring.
Tattooing Tip:
You might not know this, but skin that has not been tanned takes a tattoo better than skin that is tanned. If you're planning a tattoo, keep the area that you want tattooed out of the sun.
